Head Drop Calibration Equipment

The Head Drop Test is accomplished by suspending the head assembly by a light-weight cable suspension system.The head is dropped from a specified height onto a 2-inch thick steel plate.The release mechanism consists of a permanent electromagnet and a
small steel drop plate.Equipment adopts 220VAC/50HZ power
supply.The adjustable crossbar allows the electromagnet to be positioned at any height between 6 inches to 34 inches from the impact plate.The three (3) accelerometers required for the test

Purpose and Function

Can be used for head calibration tests on Hybrid III dummies, side impact dummies, and Q-series child dummies, meeting NHTSA, 49CFR PART572, SAE, JJF, and other requirements.
